Outdoor Entertaining Perfection

Planning the perfect outdoor entertaining area is a collaborative effort between the Landfare Ltd. design team and our clients. With so many details and options available, we want to be sure to customize the design to each clients lifestyle and needs.

For this active family, a multi-purpose pool and entertaining area were a must. The pool is setup for both swimming laps and energetic play from the kids in the family, including basketball hoop and diving board. Gysers spout under the pool umbrella to offer everyone a refreshing spray.

Walkways and entertaining spaces are made from cut limestone surrounded by illuminated hornbeam trees. French doors lead to a secluded patio for adult relaxation, including TV and settee seating. Optic fiber lighting under the patio coping makes this a wonderful spot to enjoy the evening.

Every detail – every material selected – is meticulously planned. Our build team executes it all perfectly. We want every client to say “this is exactly what we want.”

A Perfect Home Garden

Backyard home gardening is booming today. From a few pots on your patio or deck to a full fledged garden, homeowners are embracing the joy of prepping, planting, caring for and eating their own garden’s fruits and vegetables. In fact, in 2020 Burpee seeds sold more seeds than ever in its 144 year history!

Custom Designed Garden

Landfare Ltd. created the perfect custom garden for one of our clients. Raised beds, pea gravel walkways with a pergola covered seating area, working in this French inspired garden brings delight to the home owners. A custom build fence surrounds the garden, ensuring that all the delicious lettuce, tomatoes and herbs are enjoyed by the family, not furry raiders.

Backyard Living and Entertaining

In addition to the custom garden, we designed a cut limestone patio with a fire pit. What a great place to enjoy peaceful evenings after a days work in the garden!

Heating Things Up

For this full backyard renovation our client wanted an outdoor entertaining space they could use nearly year ’round, so a fire feature had to be part of the plan. Here you can see how we excavated to create a terrace with steps leading to the fire pit. Perfect for gathering family and making s’mores!

More photos from this project are coming soon.

Aged To Perfection

Landfare Ltd. wants homeowners to have the landscape design and outdoor living spaces of their dreams.

For this project, our client wanted a new custom designed pergola that would blend perfectly with the existing patio. The design includes a lath ceiling with built-in ceiling fan. To create that not-new look we intentionally aged the wood structure by hand.

Fireplaces

A warm fire sets the ambiance on a chilly fall night. Just picture relaxing by your custom designed fireplace chatting with friends and sipping a glass of wine. Perfect! John Spayde, President and Designer at Landfare Ltd. starts his design plan by talking with clients to learn how they will most often use their fireplace: game day supporting actor, s’mores with the kids, or relaxing retreat.  Then he begins the design process, making sure all elements enhance your outdoor living spaces and the ways you choose to use them.

Details Define Each Project

Front porches and patios offer wonderful opportunities to display containers filled with plants and flowers. At Landfare Ltd, each element must support the overall property design. John Spayde, Landfare Ltd. principle and designer, knew this client’s front entrance deserved something dramatic and elegant to welcome visitors.  These Italian urns are the perfect contrast for this French country home’s limestone porch and steps.  The featured boxwoods are 28 years old, trained and trimmed to perfection – not a random choice at all!. Seasonal flowers and greenery work with foliage and blooms throughout the property. It is all of these details that bring the best out in your landscape.

Climbing Hydrangea: One of Our Favorites

For this home, we added climbing hydrangea to the chimney to create a balance between the tree to the right and the lower landscaping details. Although the hydrangea was not in bloom at the point this photo was taken, it will feature large, fragrant clusters of white flowers that bloom in late spring and summer against a backdrop of dark green, heart-shaped foliage. These vines climb columns, trees, and other supporting structures. A climbing hydrangea plant grows 30 to 80 feet tall, but it tolerates pruning to shorter heights.

Work Continues During Every Season

No matter the weather, we continue working on our projects. Our Landfare Ltd. team is ready for anything! The exterior renovation of this river front home is moving forward, with stonework nearly complete. We like documenting before and during photos so you can see where we started and the ultimate, beautiful outcome. Can’t wait for our landscape design to be installed. It will be amazing!

Custom Design & Build

Custom built wrought iron railing is being installed at our client’s terraced outdoor living space. Landfare Ltd. created a total redesign of their property. The lower terrace did not exist until we excavated about six feet of dirt to create a whole new entertaining space, including a pool!

If you look at the window you can see how we incorporated the existing brick into our design. That’s what we mean by Capturing Nature Through ™.

Quiet Pride™

Landfare Ltd. has a definite vision for the outdoor living spaces we design and build for our clients. Our designs are based on a deep understanding of what each client is looking for, their lifestyle and how they want to use their spaces. And our work must always enhance the client’s home and improve how they enjoy their home. All the elements we incorporate – water features, pools, spas, landscape – all work together to project the pride our clients have for their homes. We never create trendy or ostentatious designs that conflict with the home’s architecture and property.

While discussing this vision as a team, we agreed that we really project Quiet Pride™ in both our own work and our clients’ homes.
